Cartridge-based bartop arcade
The pleasure of the object.
Evercade Alpha brings a different kind of small arcade home: a preassembled bartop with built-in games and two slots for physical Evercade cartridges. The Taito, Street Fighter and Mega Man editions share the format, while their artwork and included games give each a distinct character.
The Taito edition brings mint trim, a blue control panel and a Bubble Bobble marquee into the room. Street Fighter is denser and more graphic; Mega Man is a stronger blue statement. Let one finish provide the color, with calmer furniture around it.
What living with it involves.
At 410 mm tall, this is a substantial tabletop object, not a palm-sized cabinet miniature. Try a stable console table or desk where the controls and screen are comfortable to use. Keep cartridges, cases, spare marquee panels and an extra controller together nearby; the physical library needs a home too.
The tradeoff
A growing cartridge collection gives the cabinet a life beyond its built-in games, but adds storage and spending choices. The cabinet has one built-in control station. Local two-player play uses a separate compatible USB controller and needs room for another person and their cable.
One object. Three arrangements.
Display. Play. Put away.
01 / display
What stays out?
The manufacturer gives 244 × 316 × 410 mm (W × D × H). Allow additional room for rear power access, inserting cartridges at the front and using the controls. Body dimensions alone do not establish shelf fit.
02 / play
Where do you play?
Check the screen angle and hand position at the actual furniture height. The two front USB ports support external controls; two-player play does not mean two built-in joysticks. Keep the second player’s cable out of the shared walkway.
03 / storage
Where does it go?
Store cartridge cases like a small book collection, with a limit that suits the shelf. Keep spare marquee panels protected and the extra controller loosely coiled in a nearby drawer. A 41 cm-tall cabinet needs a larger storage space than an EGRET II mini.

An everyday routine
Make it easy to come back.
Choose the edition for its built-in games as well as its artwork, and verify cartridge/controller support against current Evercade guidance.
Connect the supplied power setup and check comfortable reach before styling the surrounding surface; use the documented update process when needed.
Switch off, return accessories to their storage and follow the manufacturer’s instructions when changing cartridges or the illuminated marquee.

Bring the arcade to the table.
A miniature arcade can have one place for being admired and another for being played.
The room below shows the smaller EGRET II mini. Apply the storage idea to Alpha only after checking its larger size, support and comfortable reach.
Manufacturer-listed enclosure dimensions are not a tested furniture-fit recommendation. This profile covers the standard Alpha family, with Taito pictured first; Deluxe bundles and their controls are not treated as identical packages. The linked table story uses a much smaller EGRET II mini: it illustrates a storage routine, not Alpha scale or support. No live stock, game-performance or universal third-party controller claim is made.
